Putting together an Elsa cosplay costume is a little like stepping into your own fairytale—equal parts sparkle, precision, and just the right touch of magic.
In this guide, I’m reviewing an Elsa cosplay costume dress and wig, with a focus on quality, fit, and what it looks like in real life vs. the online listing.
Think the Dress Will Look Like the Pic? Let It Go…
I ended up really liking this dress, and I will cover those details later, but the first thing you will notice is that the dress you get is not the dress in the photos on Amazon!
This is Image for the Elsa Cosplay on Amazon:
The Amazon listing for this costume can be found here: https://amzn.to/4svrjCM
You can see this dress appears to be entirely made of sequins or something very glittery.

What the Dress Really Looks Like:
The real dress is made from a stretchy blue material with a little bit of sparkle. The blue is a bit darker and a different shade than the photo.
There’s a design on the top and waist with pearls and rhinestones. You can sort of see some kind of design in the listing photo, but it’s too blurry for details.

It does have a nice long sparkly chiffon train attached. It’s so long that you will need to pick it up and hold it in crowds. Otherwise, people keep stepping on it!
The fit overall is actually very comfortable! The fabric is stretchy and not scratchy. I got a size large and normally wear an 8. So, the size chart is accurate.

The Elsa Cosplay Wig
I bought and returned four other wigs before finally finding one I liked!
I went with this one by ANOGOL. You can find here on Amazon: https://amzn.to/4sThNtT
The listing does say it is a frequently returned item, however that may be for one of the other wigs they sell on the same page.
I liked this one so much that I went back and bought another one to have a backup because I was wearing the costume so often.

The wig really does look like the photo. It’s not a lace front but has a decent enough hairline in the front so it doesn’t look bad.
I used a little bit of wig glue on the widow’s peak part to make it lie flat and stay securely in place.
The photo below is me and the sad little snowman I built, lol. But you can see the hairline of the wig up close here. My dark hair shows a little bit around the edges.

Elsa Makeup
Watch me doing Elsa’s makeup in this Instagram Reel!
The main palette I use for the purple and pink eye makeup is Violet Sunset by Violet Voss, and the lips are Bubbly by V kosmetik.
I also add big fluffy false eyelashes because Elsa has a lot of lashes.
Elsa’s Shoes
To make Elsa’s shoes, I took an old pair of slippers and sprayed them with silver glitter spray paint. I don’t have a pic of the shoes, but you can see them in the video:
And that’s it! An Elsa cosplay from head to toe.
