My ’80s Saturday mornings weren’t complete as a kid without watching one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons, Jem and the Holograms. So, when I found myself with pink hair for a bit, I couldn’t resist doing a Jem cosplay!

Jem and the Holograms Dress and Belt
The dress above comes in several colors, but the pink is the perfect look for a Jem and the Holograms cosplay. One bit of warning though- it’s a great everyday length, but it may be longer than you want for a rockstar look.
I hitched it up on one side to make it shorter, but you could also cut it shorter and hem it.
Jem usually wears a red fringed belt, or a silver belt. I went with the wide silver option, no fringe.
Pink Hair, Don’t Care
If you want to dye your hair pink like Jem, the wash in color from No Fade Fresh works really well and is what is shown on my hair here.

Jem’s Pink Eye Makeup
I used the Cruise palette by UCANBE for the pink around the eye. I recommend using a face/body paint type product for this, because eye shadow won’t be solid enough. The cream or oil base paint will be more vibrant.
UCANBE is an inexpensive brand on Amazon. This particular palette is a good value and works great, but I don’t recommend their eye shadow palettes. They are not comparable to most name brands.
