Cosplay as Ember from Elemental

The last event Midnight Pumpkin vended at was animation themed, so I went with Ember from Elemental since I had just seen the movie and it was really cute. I posted a movie review of Elemental over on the Geek Mamas blog.

I didn’t go full-on realistic with this Ember cosplay, and just used the character’s elements to inspire the look.

I found a great dress that was well-made and looked just like her dress, but a little longer. The dress I purchased is no longer available, but here’s one close to it: Cosplay Dress.

I then added a firey red and orange wig, and a headband that lit up to look like fire on top of my head. The headband was the most popular part of the outfit! It was lightweight and didn’t pinch my head, and you can make it flash or stay on solid.

The wig was really hard to get right, so order early if you are looking at this one. The reason is that Amazon sent me a used/returned wig THREE times, all from different companies. And one of the wigs was a completely different color!

The one I ordered from the company linked is the only one that arrived in fresh, new condition.

Elemental the Movie

“Elemental” is an enchanting, animated film produced by Disney and Pixar. The movie takes viewers on a whimsical journey through a captivating world inhabited by elemental beings.

The story revolves around Ember, a spirited protagonist trying to save her father’s business from being shut down. She finds help from an unlikely water-based companion named Wade.

It was Ember’s fiery temper that caused an accident with the pipes, which brought Wade into her life, and he changes the way she sees the world and her plans for her own future.
