Princess Zelda Winter Outfit Cosplay Review

I purchased the Princess Zelda winter outfit cosplay that she wears in Breath of the Wild from Miccostumes and was impressed by the quality and fit. I only had to make a few adjustments to make it just right.

You can find the costume on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/43cc7Qv

I also have it for sale on my Poshmark: Candy’s Closet (@sewgeekmama) | Poshmark

The costume comes with: Coat, capelet, pants, boots covers, belt, pouch and gloves.

Breath of the Wild Winter Zelda Costume

The Coat

The coat on this costume is the best piece. It’s beautiful! Lovely detail and lined in blue satin. Overall, it’s very well made.

I got the large based on the size chart, and it was a perfect fit. I didn’t need to change anything or make any adjustments to the coat.

It’s a pretty solid medium weight coat too, so it will keep you warm.

The Capelet

This is also a very nicely made piece, but I didn’t like the rubber pin that came with it. It just looked too fake.

I remade the pin by 3-D printing a Triforce emblem and painting it gold, and gluing on a blue ribbon.

Boot Covers

The boot covers look very good when they’re on. I wore them over a pair of kneehigh brown Ugg boots and they worked perfectly.

Gloves

The gloves fit great. The only modification I did was to cut a small slit in the finger so I could easily use my iPhone without taking off my gloves.

Pants

The pants that came with the costume are the only thing I didn’t like. They did not fit well.

I got these ones and liked the way the looked and fit better: https://amzn.to/491GsEY

Belt and Pouch

The belt is just OK. It looks and feels a bit costumey, but it does look good with the outfit. I did paint the buckle on the belt a brighter gold but left everything else the same.

Zelda Costume Additions: Wig and Ears

I bought this long golden wig: https://amzn.to/4udC3ah

Very nice quality for such a low price. It comes with the braid attached, and ears. The braid stuck out kind of funny on one side, but I was able to pin it down and make it look smooth.

I added the blue hair clips that match the ones Zelda wears. I could only find them in a pack of 24: https://amzn.to/3Pm1Wpn

Ready for a Zelda Adventure

Overall, the Princess Zelda winter outfit cosplay from Miccostumes exceeded my expectations in terms of quality and fit.

With only minor adjustments, it became a great representation of the character. The standout pieces, such as the coat and capelet, showcased excellent craftsmanship, while the additional items I purchased enhanced the overall look.

If you’re looking to embody Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild, I highly recommend this costume and the additional accessories to complete your ensemble.

Whether for a convention or Halloween, this costume is sure to impress and keep you warm during the colder months.
