Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara Review: Before and After

I suffer from short, stubby lashes that you can barely see, so I gave tubing mascara a try to see if that would actually give me lashes! Read on for my Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara review and see how well it worked.

I tried the travel size, because I like small mascaras, but you can also get in in regular size.

My Review of Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara

First off, I really liked the brush. I’m picky about brushes and I don’t like them to get too goopy.

This brush came out clean and was easy to apply to my lashes and get all of them covered.

I applied one really good coat and did not use a lash curler. It seemed a little wet at first, so I gave it time to dry, then just swiped my finger up my lashes so they would curl a little.

I was pretty impressed! It really did make my lashes thicker, longer, and more noticeable. In the bottom photo, you can see it does what it promises and provides “lash extensions in a tube.”

So, my Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara review is very positive! It stayed on all day and washed off very easily with warm water that evening.

What Does Tubing Mean?

To put it very simply, the product forms a tube around each lash, making it fatter and longer. When you wash it off, it even looks like little tubes!

I demonstrated this by wiping down with a warm, wet white tissue. You can see the little “tubes” in the image below:

The Slightly More Scientific Answer:

Tubing mascara works by forming lightweight polymer “tubes” around each individual lash rather than coating lashes with pigment and wax like traditional mascara.

These flexible tubes bond to the lash and dry into a smooth, water-resistant layer with great staying power.

When it’s time to remove it, warm water softens the polymers, allowing the tubes to slide off in tiny lash-shaped pieces.

This makes tubing mascara especially gentle, since there’s no rubbing or harsh remover involved, while still delivering clean length and definition.

Find it On Amazon

If you’ve been thinking of trying tubing mascara, I recommend the travel-size mascara, which is just $15.
