Who is Zatanna Zatara?

Zatanna Zatara, better known simply as Zatanna, is a captivating fictional magician from DC Comics. Created by Gardner Fox and Murphy Anderson, she made her first appearance in Hawkman # 4 in November 1964.

As the daughter of the famous magician Zatara and a member of the homo magi, a unique human subgroup with natural magical abilities, Zatanna’s talents extend far beyond ordinary illusionist tricks.

Zatanna Cosplay Costume Notes:

Zatanna has long black hair with bangs. The hair can be straight or wavy.

White button up shirt, tuxedo style with ruffles in front.

Black tuxedo jacket with tails. I added gold trim to a plain black jacket, and pinned on a rose.

Fishnet tights are a necessity!

Black bottoms of any style (the one thing I forgot to add to my Amazon photo!).

Either black heels or black boots. I created the look of thigh high boots with faux leather leggings and heels.

For this look, Zatanna wears a gold waist cincher, but many versions have a white waist cincher or no corset at all.

Complete your Zatanna cosplay with a black top hat, magic wand and white gloves.
